More allegations against the former government

More allegations of corruption during the previous government have emerged. Levan Chitadze, a member of the organsiation “NO” has accused individuals close to President Saakashvili of controlling certain economic activities in Georgia. Chitadze alleges that former government officials had a controlling interest in oil, gas, communications, construction, sports, real estate, the media, pharmaceuticals and gambling, among other industries.
Leader of the Erovnulebi movement Sandro Bregadze has suggested that various individuals close to the former government accumulated several billion dollars' (USD) wealth illegally and has called for an investigation into their activities.
