Citruses from Abkhazia enter Russian territory without any problems; in fact, tangerines, oranges and lemons from Abkhazian territory are sold throughout the Russian Federation. This is the situation in the Russian occupied territory. Meanwhile farmers in Adjara and Guria regions face many problems to sell their harvest of citruses. This year, Abkhazia had a very good harvest of citruses and the Russian authorities made it very easy for Abkhaz farmers to export their products into Russia.
The price of one kilogram of tangerines in Abkhazia is about 50 tetris, whereas in Adjara farmers who bring their harvest to the processing factories receive 20 tetris per kilo.
