Currently Iran and Azerbaijan are arguing over the Sardar Jangal oil field in the Caspian Sea, as both parties claim their juridical priorities. Iran says that it is located in the Iran water territory, while Azerbaijan claims the opposite. It is known that the Caspian Sea division is not yet finally decided. All the countries sharing the sea have different claims and there could be further aggravation of the situation concerning this issue.
