Georgian electricity distribution companies advertise information regarding the losses the companies have currently faced. However, it is very difficult to check how genuine these figures are. Some analysts suggest that the volume of loses is artificially measured. According to the data from 2011, Telasi lost more than 13% of its energy; Energo Pro Georgia lost over 10%. With the arrival of the new administration some steps will probably be taken to regulate the situation in the country in this direction, check the data and provide genuine information so that no room should remain for manipulations in the country’s electricity system.
