Georgian analysts think that a very unpleasant model of economy was established in Georgia for the last years. Business in the country greatly depended on state support. This system has been flourishing in the fuel providing business, communications, energy sphere and the pharmaceutical market. So called oligopoly structures were established which were in close contact with the country’s leadership and prevented the development of free competition. As a consequence, the development of the middle class has stalled. Now the country desperately needs a free competitive environment, so that the principle regulation of the market economy can develop in the country.
