Banking sector successful in Georgia

Statistical data confirms that banking is the leading sector of the Georgian economy with its success in recent years. By the end of 2012, aggregated assets of Georgian banks was more than GEL 14 billion. However, analysts suggest that interest rates on loans in Georgia are still rather high creating discomfort to local business and hindering its development.
