American Friendship Club celebrates African American History Month

American Friendship Club (AFC) held a workshop entitled "Martin Luther King Jr. - Orator of Talent or Leader of Civil Rights Movement." The workshop was intended to draw attention to and celebrate African American History Month. There was discussion about the civil rights movement, racial segregation in the USA and key players in the movement from 1950 to 1970.
Students from various universities took part in the project. After the completion of the course they were awarded with a certificate. President of the American Friendship Club, Ilia Zukakishvili, said students will be actively engaged in the events dedicated to Women’s History Month this March, which is also supported by the US Embassy to Georgia.
