At a press conference on March 12, Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri promised that in 2013 Georgia will receive $2 billion in foreign direct investment.
Some analysts believe that this is a very optimistic declaration. So far, in the first quarter of 2013, not much FDI has been recorded in the country, although final results for the first quarter will be available in April. This will presumably determine the inflow of the investments into the country.
