The transportation of Turkish products to Russia will be conducted through Georgia as a transit route. Such a decision was adopted because the Russian port of Sochi is currently blocked because of the ongoing construction activities in preparation of the Olympic Games 2014 scheduled in Sochi. The possibility of opening a special laboratory on the Georgian-Russian border at Zemo Larsi is a subject of discussion between the Russians and Turks to control the quality of products transported from Turkey to Russia. Meanwhile, the control will be carried out in Turkish territory in the presence of Russian experts.
