EU structures have been intensively discussing the possibility of abolishing or facilitating a new visa regime for entering EU member states from the South Caucasus countries. If this project is implemented, a solid wave of migrants from the South Caucasus countries will start moving in the European direction. Polling results have shown that around 1 million Armenians expressed their willingness to move to European countries seeking permanent residence; whereas around 350, 000 Armenians are ready even to ask for shelter. Over 470, 000 Azeri people have expressed the same interest; whereas, only 250, 000 Georgians shared the same view.
