Dancing to connect

The US Embassy in Tbilisi with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, presented the Battery Dance Company to the Georgian public on April 5. Founded in 1976, the Battery Dance Company has performed in 40 countries and brought more than 100 dance pieces to life.
The company hails from New York City and engages youth in creativity and team-building through the art of modern dance, while in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi they performed with the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili, the V. Chabukiani Ballet Art State School students, Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film State University’s 3rd year choreography faculty students, youth and volunteers from the day centers of society Biliki and Buta Marneuli.
