Tbilisi Fashion Week

From April 23-26 Tbilisi Fashion Week became the main cultural event in the Georgian capital with its catwalk, showrooms and exhibitions of accessories at the Tbilisi History Museum.
Ria Keburia, George Shaghashvili, Eka Balanchivadze, Keti Chkhikvadze, Aka Nanitashvili, "Atelier 10a" "Atelier Kikala" "Atelier Materiel" Tatuna Nikolaishvili, Datuna Sulikashvili, Tamuna Ingorokva and Avtandil Tskvitinidze presented their fall-winter 2013-14 collections while designers Simon Machabeli (DALOOD) and Tamara Kopaliani (Pepela) had special performances.
TFW was opened with a presentation of Marc Bouwer’s costumes.
Fashion professionals from different countries attended the four-day event including Farouk Chekoufi, founder of "Paris Planet Fashion"; the editor-in-chief of "Bureau 24/7" (Moscow); fashion icon Gianni Fontana (Milan); Italian photo & fashion blogger Gianluca Senese; editor-in -chief of the Azeri edition of L’Officiel; the organizers of Kazakh Fashion Week as well as buyers and industry professionals from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia.
With support of the Ministry of Culture & Monument Protection of Georgia, a few master-classes and a round table were held at the Holiday Inn Tbilisi where foreign fashion professionals shared their experience with Georgian professional and amateur designers about new trends and standards in the fashion industry.
