The amount of land under cultivation in Georgia has increased twofold in the last year. At this time last year no more than 200,000 hectares were under cultivation, while now 400,000 hectares are under cultivation. Agricultural specialists have estimated that up to 700,000 hectares can be cultivated in Georgia. However, until this year only 25-30% of this total was being used. The Ministry of Agriculture has taken all possible measures to help farmers cultivate as much land as possible.
