PM discusses projects being implemented in Georgia with IFC

Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, met with a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and discussed with them current and future projects, the Prime Minister's press service reported on Monday. The IFC has already invested $607 million in 49 projects in the financial, industrial and infrastructure sectors, and has mobilized $34 million from other investors. The corporation makes investments and implements advisory projects in order to promote the development of the private sector in Georgia. Ivanishvili also met with representatives of the banking sector. The meeting was also attended by the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Shalva Pipia. According to the press service of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Ivanishvili was briefed by the representatives of the banking system about the projects that the Ministry of Agriculture is implementing together with banks operating in Georgia.
