The Georgian Ministry of Agriculture is getting ready for the Rtveli 2013 grape vintage. The estimated amount of the harvest this year will be known by the end of July. However, farmers are optimistic that the new Georgian government will assist and subsidize the process, at least, at the level of 2012. Under the old administration last year, certain efforts were taken by the state national agency for wine which subsidized the farmers involved in the production of grapes. In 2012, the state allocated over 14 million GEL for the farmers. So there are still certain issues which need to be clarified. However, it will be possible to regulate them in a month and a half. By returning to the Russian market, the farmers received more incentives for reviving the wine industry in Georgia.
