Sokar oil company president, Rovnag Abdulaev, made a sensational statement as Azerbaijan can provide natural gas under certain conditions. The Azeri president’s administration commenting on this issue mentioned that Armenia should ask Azerbaijan for these. Thus, Armenia would admit it is in need of gas. That will force it to be more constructive on the issue of solving the Karabakh problem. Russia, the main provider of natural gas to Armenia, decided to increase the price of natural gas to Armenia. Of course this will create problems for Armenia, but it is unlikely that Armenia will ask Azerbaijan for assistance.
