Azerbaijan plans to launch a case against Armenia in the international courts to force the latter to pay reparations for damage Azerbaijan received as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh War between the two countries. Ali Hassanov, Vice Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and the head of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, stated that international experts have estimated the approximate amount of losses at $500 billion. Hasanov mentioned that the evaluation was done by international experts and Azerbaijan did not participate in the process. It seems unlikely that Armenia will agree to such claims and the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is still in deep deadlock.
