Georgian agriculture ministry provides grants to farmers

Georgia’s new authorities have doubled the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and are attempting to stimulate the development of the industry, expert Johnny Melikyan said during a Friday press conference.
According to him, the campaign program of the new Georgian government contained a provision on the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the entire country.
“The Ministry of Agriculture is carrying out certain projects, and there is a fund which provides grants. Farmers from all areas can participate and win,” he said, stressing that these grants can have a positive impact on the state of Javakheti Armenians.
