Direct investment in the South Caucasus countries

In the first quarter of 2013 Georgia received $226 million in foreign direct investment (FDI). In the same period Armenia received $131 million while in Azerbaijan FDI increased to 1.2 billion USD. Of this amount, 83% is related to the oil and natural gas industries.
