The recently held Bratislava Summit has been signified with the support of the NABUCCO project by Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania. The presidents have fixed their positions to support the project. They sent a letter to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, confirming commitment to support the project which will diversify the import of energy carriers into European countries. This initiative was met by the Turkish side with much content. Currently Russia is leading in exporting its natural gas to European countries and using this advantage as a lever in political games to satisfy its domineering role in the region.
