Free economic zone in Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister, Tygran Sargsyan and the Russian Transport Minister, Maxim Sorokin, have recently opened the first free economic zone in Armenia. The countries have been working on the project since 2008. The investments have been attracted and the project has been launched already. The center established in Yerevan covers industrial, as well as territories for offices. It will be mostly promoting engineering, the pharmaceutical industry, bio-technologies, informative technologies, alternative energy, telecommunications, etc.
