Georgia starts next phase of East-West gas pipeline rehabilitation

Trend.Az states that the representatives of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, will begin the fourth phase of the project of rehabilitating Georgia's East-West main gas pipeline. On Wednesday, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation reported that this measure is the only possibility of carrying out joint control over the the project, envisaged by the tender conditions. The representatives of the companies intending to participate in the rehabilitation of the main gas pipeline are invited to participate.
During the familiarization on September 2-3, the sides will get acquainted with the rehabilitation of the pipeline at the 23rd kilometer of the Kutaisi-Zestafoni section and at the 20th kilometer of the Gori-Kareli section. According to the report, on September 2, the sides will familiarize with the construction of pipeline in the Ajameti Nature Reserve taking into consideration all ecological norms.
Claimants for the participation in the construction will get the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all the conditions and opportunities, as well as prepare their tender offers, obtaining maximal information at Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. The fourth phase of the rehabilitation of the main gas pipeline is financed by USAID.
