According to the estimates of agricultural experts, Georgia is expecting the grape harvest to reach 150 000 tons this year. Up to 80 wine factories are ready to host the harvest. The Ministry of Agriculture promised this time that the vintage will be much more successful than in the previous year. They say that this time the state will not be competing with the private sector, but on the contrary, it will be facilitating the businessmen to continue to develop their activities. The state is encouraging the private sector to become actively involved in this process. There are certain changes in financing of the farmers and wine-makers. Grape like Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli will be subsidized.
