The wheat harvest in Georgia will be more than 155,000 tons this year. That is much higher than last year’s harvest. This prognosis gives Georgia the opportunity to decrease wheat imports. The main exporter of wheat to Georgia is Russia, followed by Kazakhstan and Switzerland. The international prices for wheat have also decreased. Currently one sack of flour costs 37 lari, compared to last year when it cost 45 lari.
