Cattle imports from Georgia to Azerbaijan increase by over a quarter

12,100 tons of cattle in live weight worth $30.94 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-August 2013, the report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) said. According to the report, the share of this category of goods in a total volume of Georgian exports to Azerbaijan in the reporting period amounted to 6.61 %.

In comparison with the same period of 2012, the export of cattle from Georgia increased by 25.18 %. In quantitative terms this by 68.16 %, or 4,900 tons. For comparison, in January-August 2012, 7,190 tons of cattle in live weight in the amount of $24.72 million was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan. Goods worth $468.04 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-August 2013, or 26.6 % of the total volume of the country's exports during the period.

Exports to Azerbaijan increased by 16.97 % compared to the same period of 2012. Georgian goods worth $400.13 million were exported to Azerbaijan in January-August last year.
