Share of agriculture in the GDP increases by 7%

In 2013 the Georgian government has used significant financial resources for developing the Georgian agricultural sector. Budgetary support has increased for winemaking, protection of plants, as well as food safety. As a result, agriculture's share in the GDP has increased by 7%. The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agricultural Issues, Gigla Agulashvili, thinks the increase in the first half of 2013 will become more perceptible during the second half of the year.
