The government promises 5% economic growth

The Georgian government promises that from 2014, GDP growth in the country will reach 5%. The Georgian Dream coalition promised the economy would grow by 6% in 2013. However, it revised its forecast by predicting 4% growth instead. According to officials, the real economic situation in the country when the new government took office in was worse than it looked. Thus, the new government faced an uphill battle to get the economy back on track.
