Georgian Railways face problems
Thursday, October 10
Transportation of cargo through Georgian Railways is decreasing. The amount of goods transported by Georgian Railways in the first half of 2013 was less than in the same period last year. Analysts give different explanations for this. Some suggest it is a result of global processes in the world market. However, others consider this trend as a reflection of the non-professional approach taken by the management of Georgian Railways. Of course, the decrease of turnover results in a decrease in revenue. This is very dramatic if we consider that Georgia has to take advantage by using its transit preferences.
