Revenue from TANAP to reach $4 billion

Revenue from the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline project (TANAP) will amount to $4 billion, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said..
According to him, the construction of TANAP will commence in 2014.
The minister added that the project will contribute to the development of 19 cities across the country.
A total of 1.8 million tons of steel pipes will be used during construction of the gas pipeline..
The TANAP project envisages transporting gas from the Shah Deniz gas field in Azerbaijan to Europe via Turkey. The pipeline's initial capacity is expected to reach 16 billion cubic meters per year. About six billion cubic meters will be delivered to Turkey and the rest will be delivered to Europe. (Trend)
