Bypass opened in Black Sea resort of Kobuleti

The Kobuleti bypass road was opened on Thursday. Minister of the Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure David Narmania and Chairman of Adjara's Government Archil Khabadze attended the event.

The Kobuleti bypass is part of the main highway of Adjara. The length of this section is 12.4 kilometres. Asphalt was paved as part of the project. Around 14 crossings and three underground passages were built and drainage systems were created.

The total cost of the project amounted to $115.5 million. Around 1000 people were employed.
