ExpoGeorgia hosts international exhibition

International exhibition of power, electrical engineering and control, telecommunications and information technology Organized by the Exhibition Center ExpoGeorgia took place on November 12-14. The event was supported by the Ministry of Energy, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and City Hall.
It was a place where energy, electronics, IT and telecommunications industry companies showcase their products, services and ideas, meet with potential clients and partners, as well as establish contacts with the government officials.
The main themes of the exhibition were power, electronic equipment, automatic systems, control systems, software, energy efficiency and the renewable energy
A number of companies took part in the exhibition including Amigo Geo Solar, Beyteknik, Caucasus Cable, Cink Hydro Energy, Dariali Energy, etc.
In the frames of the event, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized investment forum dedicated to East-Invest Project. The conference was opened by Chamber President Kakha Baindurashvili. Delegates were welcomed by the members of the government and head of the EU delegation HE Philip Dimitrov.
The Trade Chambers and private companies from project partner countries attended the forum. These companies represented agriculture, tourism, information technology, textiles, alternative energy, transport and logistics, construction. The forum provided information on the country's economic situation and investment opportunities for the participants. The sectoral seminars and workshops around the above-mentioned fields were also held as well as bilateral meetings between representatives of Georgian and European companies - organized.
Conference Energy for Sustainability held on November 13 covered development Strategy of Energy sector in Georgia, renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy sources.
Energy security of Georgia; Energy Policy for Sustainable Development; Strategic subjects of development of oil and gas sector of Georgia; Georgian Electricity Market Model 2015; Shales of Georgia: Objectives of the first phase of the energy potential study; Energy Potential of renewable energy sources in Georgia; Review of Energy state in Georgia; Enhancing Capacity for Low Emission Development Strategies-Clean Energy Program goals and objectives were in focus.
