Georgia will purchase flu vaccine for people who are at a high risk, head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said today.
According to him, the government approved the state program on October 30. One of the items includes the purchase of flu vaccine.
According to Gamkrelidze, a risk group includes the elderly people living in shelters, orphanages, pregnant women, health care workers and people with chronic diseases.
He also stressed that the vaccine will be purchased within 10 days after the tender is over and the vaccination itself will be conducted in December. (Trend)
