Georgian Railways tries to attract investors from U.S.

Director General of the Georgian Railways LLC, Mamuka Bakhtadze paid a visit to Washington together with the Georgian delegation. According to the Georgian Railways, the purpose of the visit was to attract investments from the United States.

The delegation members held a meeting at the Johns Hopkins University. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Georgian Co-investment Fund and the Georgian National Investment Agency, who familiarized the representatives of the U.S. administration and business circles with the situation in the Georgian investment market.

"We touched upon the opportunities that we have obtained recently in connection with the attraction of goods from China," Bakhtadze said.

He added that a presentation on opportunities on logistics services in the direction of Afghanistan was also held.

"We hope for interest of American companies," Bakhtadze said.
