Public Reception opened at Defense Ministry

The Public Reception Hall of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia has been officially opened. The Public Reception will serve family members of former and current Georgian military servicemen. Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania attended the opening ceremony of the Public Reception Hall. Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze, and representatives of GAF also attended the event. The first guests of the newly opened Public Reception Hall were representatives of the The Union of Friends of the Georgian Armed Forces. "This is a new face of the Defense Ministry, the way we are going to communicate with the public. We are accountable before each member of our society and therefore, we should meet them and answer their questions. Our reception hall is specially equipped for children and to serve family members of military servicemen. If they have requests they are welcome to come here. The deputy defense minister will be here for one hour every day to talk to the public and family members of our soldiers and assist them in solving their problems." Irakli Alasania said. Ministry of Defense employees underwent special training within their areas of expertise in order to provide high-level service to citizens. The Citizens' Reception provides services in the following areas: assisting citizens in writing letters, complaints and addresses; providing consultations and identifying directions on how to resolve particular problems, including social issues. The Public Reception Hall has been opened as part of the transparent and open policy of the Defense Ministry.
