FDI increases

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), in 9 months of 2013, foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country came to $697 million, which is more than in the same period last year. The largest investment in the third quarter was in the financial sector ($47.7 million), transport and communication – ($47 million) and the energy sector – ($33.4 million).
