Same budget for defense

From 2014 budget, the Defence Ministry will receive 660 million GEL. It is not an adequate amount of money, but this money will be fully utilized by the ministry. Georgia’s defense budget was at its peak in 2000, reaching 1.5 billion USD, but after the war with Russia in August 2008 this budget has been decreasing slowly.

In comparison, Armenia’s defense budget in 2014 will be 472 million USD, whereas Azerbaijan’s will be 3.7 billion USD. (The Messenger)
