Orthodox New Year at Fifth Infantry Brigade

The Defence Minister of Georgia marked the Orthodox New Year with Georgia soldiers. Irakli Alasania visited the fifth Infantry Brigade in Gori and wished them a Happy New Year once more. The Defence Minister thanked the soldiers for their honorable service and pledged to support them to carry out future plans.
“I’d like to wish our military servicemen, officers, sergeants and our country a happy New Year. I’d like to wish our military servicemen contributing in Afghanistan to return to their homeland and their families without loss. I am sure this year will be very successful for our country. I would like all of Georgia to know that the Armed Forces, Defence Ministry of Georgia will take an important part in prosperity of our country” – outlined Irakli Alasania. Deputy Defence Minister Alex Batiashvili and Deputy Chief of General Staff, Colonel Vladimir Chachibaia also congratulated the military servicemen of the fifth Infantry Brigade on the new year. They wished the soldiers every success and spoke about future plans.
