Educational and Fitness Centre opens at Camp Leatherneck

In the Helmand Province, Afghanistan, an Educational and Fitness Centre was opened at Camp Leatherneck. Soldiers of the 31st Battalion of GAF are able to train in the gym during their free time. A reading room was also opened in the Centre with the support of the Patriarchate of Georgia, Association of Libraries, National Library and National Centre of Manuscripts. More than 300 books are collected in the library for the soldiers who are able to familiarize themselves with military-historical, literary and theological books. A field cinema was also opened in the Educational and Fitness Centre in Helmand Province. The Georgian military are given the opportunity to watch documentary, military-historical and patriotic movies. Films are of an informative character after which the soldiers discuss film stories in a military context and exchange their views.
