Georgia increases its export

The current export share in Georgia’s trade turnover has increased by 15%, reaching $761 million in January 2014.

Georgia’s trade turnover with the CIS countries has also increased and is now around 35%. Overall, the country’s share of foreign trade turnover with the EU member states is 23%. Georgia’s largest trade partner is Turkey followed by Azerbaijan and China.

It should be mentioned that the major exported items from Georgia are cars, which in reality are being re-exported from Europe, the US, Japan and S. Korea.
