Import of agricultural goods

The import of agricultural goods is still high in Georgia. Although the government promises to support agricultural development, things like this progress very slowly and the country is still importing most of its agricultural products.

According to the latest data, Georgia is satisfying around 40% of its demand. It should be mentioned however that the current Georgian administration has initiated several projects for encouraging the production of export goods, but firstly the products to satisfy the local needs of the country.
