Motorway to be constructed to Agara village in 2014

Georgians anxiously waiting for the state constructed high standard motorways connecting the capital Tbilisi with the western seaports.

According to the preliminary estimate, by the end of 2014 the motorway will be finished up to the village of Agara and it will be designed in such a way that by 2016, the motorway should come to Rikoti tunnel, bypassing the city of Khashuri.

The construction of this motorway started in March 2006. This year the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure will spend 501 million GEL for this purpose. The motorway itself and motor bridges will be rehabilitated and new ones will be constructed. (The Messenger)
