Georgia’s road infrastructure plays an important role in the country’s economy. Georgia is a transit country – part of the east-west corridor. Road infrastructure promotes tourism, as well as other segments of the economy, industry, construction, and trade.
Good roads are a key to the country’s successful development. It should remain a priority for the country to construct good roads and maintain them.
In 2013, road infrastructure was financed with 523 million GEL. The construction of new roads and renovation of existing roads continues.
