Telephone Conversation between Minister of Defense and U.S. Congressman

A telephone conversation has been held between Minister of Defense of Georgia and the U.S. Congressman Michael Turner. Irakli Alasania thanked the Congressman for his support demonstrated towards Georgia`s NATO aspirations. On Tuesday, Mr. Turner once again called on the U.S. Government to support granting Membership Action Plan to Georgia at the upcoming NATO Summit for which Mr. Alasania expressed his gratitude. During the conversation the sides also referred to the regional security issues and bilateral defense cooperation between Georgia and the United States.
