Shadow economy in Azerbaijan

According to the calculations of the international financial organizations, the shadow economy of Azerbaijan holds around 40-60% of the country’s economy. According to the official data, the percentage is less and it keeps on decreasing. However, this official data is challenged by independent analysts inside and outside the country.
