Georgia’s population is 4.49 million according to the official data for January 1, 2014. 53.7% live in the cities, while the rest in the villages. 47.7% are males. There is an increase in the age group of five to nine, whereas the number of those between 20-24 has decreased. This is explained by the tendency of migration of the people of this particular age group in search of jobs abroad.
