The disastrous landslide in Dariali gorge, which took place a couple of days ago has damaged the main natural north-south gas pipeline providing Armenia with the Russian natural gas via Georgia.
Restoration works are underway in the gorge where the disaster has happened. This requires some time. Despite stopping transit through Georgia the Armenian population will be receiving natural gas nonstop because the company GazProm Armenia will be providing the country with the natural gas using the reserves from the natural gas storage facilities.
Armenia has enough reserves of natural gas that it can provide the Armenian population for the further 7-10 days.
