There is a possibility that Russian oil could be pumped to the world market through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. Russian oil extracted from the Russian segment of the Caspian Sea could be directed to Europe through this route.
The Russian company Lukoil has initiated the promotion of this route, as it has appeared the most efficient route in the preliminary studies.
