Awarding Georgian military servicemen

In celebration of Independence Day of Georgia, President Giorgi Margvelashvili awarded 12 military servicemen of Georgian Armed Forces. An official ceremony was held in the Presidential Palace in presence of Minister of Defence Irakli Alasania, Chief of the General Staff of GAF Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze and the representatives of Ministry of Defence and GS.
Supreme Commander-in-Chief granted II rank Vakhtang Gorgasali Order to the three military servicemen for the successful fulfillment of combat tasks. Four military servicemen were awarded with III rank Vakhtang Gorgasali Order for an outstanding service, devotion and self-sacrifice for the nation and motherland. 5 servicemen were bestowed the medal for “Military Courage”.
President of Georgia awarded post-mortem 36 servicemen with I rank Vakhtang Gorgasali Order for the heroism, devotion and outstanding military service revealed in the fight for unity of the motherland. Giorgi Margvelashvili handed the state awards to the family members of the killed servicemen.
