Kazakhstan ups gold production

Kazakhstan increased gold production by 6.9 percent in January-June 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported on July 15 with reference to the Kazakh Statistics Agency.
The country produced 22.592 tonnes of raw, semi-finished gold and gold in powder during the reporting period.
Refined gold production hit 12.672 tonnes (12.4 percent increase) in the first half of 2014.
Meanwhile raw, semi-finished silver, and silver in power production decreased by 9.2 percent to 446.3 tonnes. Refined silver production amounted to 443.1 tonnes (9.3 percent decrease) in this period.
Refined, raw and unalloyed copper production in January-April decreased by 30.1 percent to 131,400 tonnes, raw zinc production increased by 2.6 percent to 161,300 tonnes, raw lead production increased by 40.4 percent to 61,700 tonnes.
