Annual Inflation 2.8% in July

Annual inflation was 2.8% in July, up from 2% in June, according to figures released by the state statistics office, Geostat, on August 4.
On monthly basis there was 0.6% deflation in July, according to Geostat.
Prices on food rose by 3.4% year-on-year in July and prices on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes increased by 7.1% y/y.
There was 4.7% y/y increase of prices in healthcare services and prices in transport group rose by 3.6%. Prices on clothing and footwear dipped by 6.3% y/y in July, according to Geostat.
